Marine Corps seeks new recruits for `08

The Philippine Marines is all set for the recruitment of strong-willed individuals to join the "Cutting Edge of the Armed Forces of the Philippines" as officers and enlisted personnel to hit its more than 1,200 target before year 2008 ends.

The Corps is looking for officer candidates who are 21-29 years old and Baccalaureate degree holders. Candidate soldiers must be 18-23 years old, at least second year in college with 72 units or high school graduates with technical skills. All applicants must be physically, mentally and psychologically fit for active military training, at least 5’5" in height and of good moral character.

Successful applicants will receive competitive pay and allowances, insurance and health care benefits, billeting and housing privileges, job security, leadership and other skills training, opportunity for career advancement, opportunities for schooling within the country and abroad and a heritage true to every Marine.
