Videoke bar owner sued for trafficking girl, 16
The Provincial Prosecution Office has filed a criminal charge against the owner of Mariku Videoke Bar in Virac who allowed a 16-year old girl to work in her establishment in violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.

Relieved lawman says SOG presence “covert operation”
Superintendent Adan Magdasoc, who has been administratively relieved from his Virac posting pending investigation, and two other police have claimed that their presence at a beer house at midnight of Aug. 14 together with a suspected drug personality was part of a covert operation.

A daughter of Virac placed 9th in the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission’s Board of Nursing last July 2010, with 82 graduates of the Catanduanes State Colleges also passing the exam.
